Dear Trinity family and friends,

Jesus asks us to seek first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33), and prayer is certainly the way to reveal the kingdom in our lives. Prayer can be compared to scattering intentional seeds in a field (Mark 4:26). Sometimes we scatter many prayers. When we plant prayer as a seed, there is no logical explanation as to why the seed germinates. Just as a plant buds on the branch, becoming a blade, to finally the harvest, so go our seeds of prayers (Mark 4:28-29). Prayer moves from a thought in our mind, to words off our lips, to seeds in God’s field, to our world. God has commissioned us to sow seeds of prayer by sharing our knowledge of Jesus in our spheres of influence.

So, as you see the trees reveal their buds and watch your grass grow, know that God is at work in your life through prayer. The Lord desires to grow your faith and love for people as you plant seeds of faith in the lives of the people you meet!

7. THIS WEEK IN WORSHIP
This week we that Jesus said,
“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
(John 13:35).

I know many people enjoy chocolate-based ice cream. You can mix in Oreos, fudge, brownies and nuts, but chocolate needs to be the base flavor. Love is this way. You can mix in preaching, going to church, and serving those less fortunate – but love must always be the base flavor. Love is the context for every truly Christian deed. It is the essence of following Jesus. Love, which always shows itself in action identifies us as followers of Jesus. As the Easter season moves forward, read John 13:31-35 to prepare for Sunday worship.
