Mission Outreach

Trinity is involved in helping and supporting several ministries to the homeless in our area.  We partner with the Allegheny Valley Association of Churches in housing temporary homeless families for a week at a time, at the church, 5 times a year.  In addition to housing for the week, we provide meals, activities and invite them to worship with us on the week end.  We also support two Pittsburgh area ministries in assisting to serve homeless men, women and children on a monthly basis, and in addition, we send financial support monthly to Washington City Mission, one of the most effective homeless outreach programs in Pennsylvania.

Worship Music

Cross Bound is the name of our Praise and Worship band, under the leadership of Bridget Hull.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Trinity United Christian Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. We recognize God’s hands in answered prayer, lift special needs and praise God for his Grace and Mercy.  Special prayer requests can be communicated to the Pastors and staff through the contact link on the web site, or through confidential prayer requests cards in each service. The last Thursday of the month, the church comes together for a focused evening of prayer.

Prayer Quilt Ministry

As an outreach to our prayer ministry, it is a privilege to pray over quilts made by people in the congregation in response to specific needs received from all over the country.  Each quilt is labeled with the name and reason for prayer and as each prayer is lifted on their behalf, a knot is tied to symbolize the prayer.  When all the knots are tied, the quilt is presented to the person for their personal comfort and encouragement.

Junior Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Trinity Church holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.

Puppet Ministry

Our puppet ministry, Grace Filled Hands, includes both youth and adult volunteers.  They participate in worship once a month and have plans to minister in our area as God opens new doors of opportunity.
